Last week, we received the last piece of paper we needed to complete our dossier! For those not familiar, the dossier contains every document we have gathered over the last 6 months, our homestudy, pictures of our family, and that last long awaited immigration approval. The whole big dossier has now been sent for authentication, and will be sent to China hopefully about 3 weeks from now. What a day of rejoicing that will be!
Many of you know that we applied for a medical expedite for our Lily to try to get her here sooner for surgery on her leg. We sent that to the immigration officials and were turned down. What I didn’t know until last week was that we get another chance to apply! When our dossier arrives in China, we can apply for and expedite on their end of things! The orphanage director will advise the officials on whether it is necessary, and this could speed our process considerably! Please pray with us that the director will agree that Lily needs surgery sooner rather than later. The procedure she needs is typically done before the first birthday, and if things are not sped along, she will be nearly two when we get her. I know and trust that we are in the hands of our Lord, and his timing is perfect.
Please pray with us that His Will be done, and that He will give us the grace to accept it, whatever it may hold for us.
